Standing by the gate awaiting the legion. Finally they arrived but only to storm into the city without Katsumoto. What deed has he done to earn such dishonour that even the chapter master would not even say?The chapter master just gave a cold reply and went on his way.His heart felt the pain of a thousand needles piercing it but the pain was never there. It was even deeper within him.It is a great shame to him that his honour could only be retained by commiting hara kiri.
For months,Katsumoto sacrificed his strength and time for the greater good of the legion. He is only but a human.A human that commits mistakes and a sinner that sinned before God's mighty eyes.Great things he had forged for the greater good so that the legion may rip the benefits out of it.Still the blasphemous legion looked upon him like a heretic that must purged by the fire of their glorious legion. Why must the chapter masters command him to forge those pillars of support and forsaken him at the time when he needed their guidance the most. This warrior now stands at the crossroads of dillema where either of both choices look equally bleak.
Guidance may not be given in the form that the legion had wished.Still it came in other forms. He didn't mind guiding them from a far for his respects to the chapter captain was of a mutual respect.Yet Katsumoto could just never obey a captain who has no honour.Neither is he in the position to lead the legion as he never had the experience or the commitment in leading them.He had always believe in leading by example. Thus he had never wish to commit any wrongdoings that could have dishonour him.Still he had searched for many ways to share their burden. He has always been a man who could not express himself well with others and has a heart of ice.Conflict eventually brewed from within.
Now Katsumoto realised that almost the entire legion functions like a leech. They just drop off from your body when they are full. The most obvious among them were the chapter masters who held command of the legion.Still there are some who gave hope to Katsumoto. Those of the young initiates whose minds are not yet tainted by the filth of arrogance. He still wish he could teach and guide them more but time has come for him to close this chapter of his life.
It is now time for him to return to the Dark Library to acquire even deeper knowledge to combat a more horrifying being than the battles he had ever fought. It has come to the time for him to be selfish for once for he had sacrificed everything for the legion and only to be repaid by the legion with dust.It hurts but it couldn't be uttered.
Thus this is the end a story. The ending sacrifice of a young chaplain of the doomed legion.
